At the end of every cone of wool is a short length of yarn leftover we can't use to knit a garment panel. We don't throw yarn away so the amount of cones has gathered over the years and we always been thinking about what to do with it, it needs to be a very small thing to knit with this random length of yarn.

We had the idea of making Moccasins! Our daughters and their friend took on the job. They have been busy crocheting, measuring baby feet and making patterns and sizes.

Each pieces is slightly different but thats the charm and they always make us smile. Every time we have given them as presents to friends it makes the new parents mega happy and they still remember years later!

Our friend and neighbour makes beautiful sheepskin clothing and she kindly has donated some off cuts to make the small soles ( thank you Milena ).

They also decided that if they gonna make them they want to give something back so 100% of the profits will go to charity.

The booties are made out of our different organic Wool/Alpaca yarns depending on the colours we have left each season and the soles are 100% natural sheepskin and are also all made out of different colours we match to the yarns.

Sometimes there are only very few in one colour - if sold out - new pairs are being made regularly - but it’s not a production - so just ask or we can also make to order a particular size but only in the size range we offer.

These booties are great when moving the first steps, due to the non-slippery sole.
